Role Summary
This role will be working within the Wejo corporate infrastructure team. The infrastructure team has quite a varied set of responsibilities, focusing primarily on the corporate side of the business, including our Office365 platform, Azure infrastructure, managing our extensive SaaS based application catalogue all the while ensuring we maintain a first in class security across the whole platform.
As our infrastructure engineer, you will be working within a team of various disciplines all focusing on our corporate infrastructure estate. The work will comprise primarily of a mixture of project and ongoing BAU support work. You will have a solid technical background which you can call upon to work technical projects from analysis through to the implementation and delivery phases. You will provide day to day support and provide mentoring and guidance to the rest of the service teams.
As Wejo continues to grow, we are seeing more demand for innovative and challenging solutions. This role will be a key member of the team to help us deliver these projects. We need to ensure we can adapt and support our increasing headcount and integrate with some cutting-edge technology offered to us by our new partners.
A prerequisite for everyone working in Wejo is a high level of personal resilience and the ability to manage changing priorities and complexity well.
Key Responsibilities – what I do mostly
- Assist the infrastructure team in making recommendations for improvements
- Working with the infrastructure lead to assist in projects and improvement plans
- Azure active directory is our primary identify provider so you will have excellent knowledge of working with Azure AD. This includes configuration, management and ensuring we employ high levels of security throughout
- Devices are managed through Intune with autopilot and Jamf connect for MacOS
- Experience of working with MFA, Single Sign On, conditional access rules etc.
- In depth knowledge of the entire Office365 suite. This will include Exchange, Security, Compliance, SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive.
- Working with other key functions within the business such as Infosec and service to ensure
- infrastructure are aligned
- Working with a large catalogue of SaaS based applications. Ensuring these tools are secured, monitored, and administered in line with our strict internal policies
- Work with key stakeholders from other areas of the business such as the financial, commercial, sales, service delivery and information security teams to fully understand business functionality, blockers, and recommend areas for improvement
- Continual service improvement through constant analysis of the existing infrastructure with an eye on improvements and cost saving opportunities
- Planning of changes to the live system, ensuring that system changes are deployed in an efficient and safe manner
- Document, maintain and update policies, procedures, and controls for the operation of our infrastructure platform.
Other Responsibilities – what I will be doing sometimes
- Administrative support, including support via troubleshooting, implementing bug fixes and root cause analysis
- Resolution and escalation of internal issues escalated from 1st and 2nd line support
Essential Skills / Knowledge & Experience – what I need to do the job
- Azure Active directory, Azure IaaS, Azure security
- Office 365 administration, security, SharePoint administration
- MDM, Intune, autopilot and Jamf.
- PowerShell scripting to provide automation and support
- Cisco Meraki networking desirable
- Security tooling experience (Qualys, Trend Micro, Dark Trace)
- Endpoint protection tools (Manage Engine Desktop Central, Office365 cloud backups)
- Service Now ITSM
- High level of security awareness and up to date knowledge
- Working with various SaaS based software and tools
- Strong analytical skills to identify possible problems and improvement opportunities
