Senior Business Development Manager
Role Summary
The role of the Business Development Manager is to take responsibility for leading the strategy for the sales of batch and Real-Time data feeds within your given client base. You'll work closely with clients and prospects to gain a clear understanding of their business needs, and provide consultative solutions to build stronger relationships, developing products and propositions. You will lead the direction of the marketplace growth, working closely with the BD executives and researchers to execute.
You'll have a deep understanding of the flow of real-time Automotive data, its attributes and its use cases. Who uses it and what for. You will be expected to bring with you a network of potential buyers, as well as seeking new partnerships across an array of marketplaces and geographies within the EU region.
A prerequisite for everyone working in Wejo is a high level of personal resilience and the ability to manage changing priorities and complexity well.
Key Responsibilities – what I do mostly
· Responsible for driving the annual sales and revenue targets for a defined territory
· You will identify both existing and new markets for the use of automotive data
· You will be responsible for assessing the marketplaces in order of value and prioritizing and coordinating the efforts accordingly, in close collaboration with the Egress Sales Manager.
· Work in collaboration with colleagues across the data sales team to identify and manage new sales opportunities until close as well as identify and expand usage and revenue of existing real-time technology solutions
· You will be responsible for relaying opportunities cross vertically in order to create new products and propositions for the target markets
· Build and execute on sales strategies at both account and country level
· Effectively build a sales pipeline and accurately manage forecasts throughout the sales cycle
· You will be responsible for managing the most strategic partnerships within the data sales marketplaces, across multiple geographies and industries
· Validate the client workflow and engage the appropriate sales team and technical resources where necessary
· Frequent client and prospect interaction through sales calls and regular onsite visits across the EU region
· Maintain strong product knowledge of the full Technical Solutions suite, its integration points and competitor/3rd party offerings
· Acquire knowledge of Customer technology stacks and workflows
· Ensuring a professional image of the company and themselves is presented at all times.

Essential Skills / Knowledge & Experience – what I need to do the job
· Experience in selling Automotive data in or to traffic, mapping, parking, geo-Automotive and government markets is highly desirable
· In depth understanding of our Customers' businesses and their use cases for Automotive data
· Strong track record in consultative selling
· Proven competence in establishing new marketplaces for sales
· Strong communicator and leader, driving all individuals within the data sales team towards the same vision
· Proven ability of accurate pipeline management from initial lead to close
· Skilled in establishing, developing and maintain key relationships within strategic accounts, including senior client relationships
· Ability to work within a collaborative environment to achieve results
· Familiarity with real-time market data feeds and market data distribution platforms is desirable
· Willingness for regular business travel across the EU region, with expectations to attend the wejo California or UK office on request
· French native speaker with a fluent English is a must, a third language skill is a plus
